One of Conrad O. Johnson Music and Fine Arts Foundation's objectives is to follow Conrad Johnson's philosophy that music and the arts provide the discipline needed to obtain one's life goals.

For this reason, we are awarding four (4) $1,000.00 scholarships to students of the arts on January 14, 2018 at our Annual Gala, “Let the Children Play”.

 

Submission Deadline: Postmarked on or before October 31, 2017

  • Must be a December 2016 High School Graduate (1st year college student) or May 2017 graduate.
  • Must provide:

o   Letter of Recommendation from the Band Director or Fine Arts Director

o   Letter of Recommendation from School Administrator or School Counselor

o   Must have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average

o   Copy of Letter of Acceptance from College/University of choice

  • Complete the attached Scholarship Application
  • Submit a 1-page essay detailing the importance of this award, expected use of the funds, future goals and a notarized statement of commitment to return to a COJMFAF event in 2019 for a personal update, (i.e. how did the award help in the first year in the attainment of his/her goals) and a personal performance on a date agreed upon between the recipient and the Scholarship committee
